reheating cinnamon rolls

Oven: Heat oven to 350°. Place cinnamon rolls on a baking sheet or pie tin and cover the rolls with a foil tent to keep the icing from over-heating. Warm for at least 5 minutes or until cinnamon roll is thoroughly heated but not so hot the icing puddles.

Microwave: Heat on high for 1 minute. Heat in additional 30 second increments until cinnamon roll is hot but icing is not puddling.

  • 6 Kittie’s Yesterday’s Cinnamon Rolls,
cut in 1/2” cubes frosting and all

  • 8 eggs

  • 2 c. milk

  • 1/2 c. half & half

  • 1/3 c. granulated sugar

  • 1/2 c. brown sugar

  • 1 tbsp. vanilla extract

  • 2 tsp. cinnamon

Topping

  • 1/2 c. flour

  • 1/2 c. brown sugar

  • 1 tsp. cinnamon

  • 1/3 tsp. salt

  • 1/2 c. butter, cold & diced

Instructions

  1. Combine eggs, milk, half & half, sugar, brown sugar, vanilla, and cinnamon in a large mixing bowl.

  2. Add diced cinnamon rolls to mixture and mix evenly until all cubes are coated in custard.

  3. Transfer mixture to a greased 9”x13” pan and spread evenly. Rest the mixture in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours (but can hold in refrigerator overnight).

  4. Preheat your oven to 350° 20 minutes prior to baking

  5. In a smaller separate bowl, combine flour, brown sugar, cinnamon, salt, and butter using a fork to work butter into mixture. Set aside until ready to bake. This can also be prepared the night before and held in the refrigerator until ready to bake.

  6. Evenly spread topping over bread pudding mixture and bake for approximately 40 minutes until top is golden brown and cooked in center.

  7. Drool as you wait.

  8. Enjoy!
